Asian Eyelid Surgery
Many Asian patients have upper eyelid creases and some do not. Creation of a crease in the upper eyelid of an Asian man or woman is a very satisfying procedure for the patient. The operation may be done under local anesthesia if the patient prefers. The procedure can be done without any scars or an open technique may be utilized. Patient selection is important. The crease height is lower than in Caucasians and experience is necessary to perform this delicate and exacting operation.
