Cory Henssler
Cory Henssler received her Bachelor's of Science degree in nursing from San Diego State University in 2000 and has been serving the medical community for 8 years. As a testament to Cory's character, she spent several years working in the intensive care unit at Rady Children's Hospital of San Diego prior to starting her career in skincare. As the Director of Laser Services at FACESplus, Cory works closely with Dr. Steven Cohen to ensure the highest level of safety and efficacy. Cory has over 6 years of experience in the aesthetic laser industry and has performed thousands of procedures. She frequently lectures physicians and nurses on the latest laser techniques and procedures. Cory's calm hands and confident demeanor set patients at ease. She enjoys leaving her patients with beautiful, long lasting results.
Jen Holt, RN
Laser Nurse Specialist and Clinical Coordinator
A tremendous asset to the FACESplus team for the last 3 years, Jen Johnston graduated from the University of Iowa in 2001. After graduating, Jen immediately went to work in the intensive care unit specializing in adult medicine. She works closely with Cory, Dr. Steven Cohen and the other skin care specialists to create individualized treatment options for all of her patients. Jen feels privileged to give back to her patients and appreciates the opportunity to enhance their health and well-being. At FACESplus, Jen enjoys having access to the most cutting edge laser technology and works diligently to help each of her patients achieve their goal of a healthy, beautiful and glowing complexion.
Daphne R. Contreras
Skin & Laser Center Aesthetician
Daphne is a licensed Aesthetician, certified by the the California Board of Cosmetology. As a San Diego native she has been in the aesthetic field since 2003. She has extensive knowledge in plastic surgery, lasers, and skincare offering her patients a wide range of knowledge to guide them in the direction of what treatments are most beneficial in achieving the healthy clarity in their skin we all strive for. Specializing in the correction of acne holds a special place in Daphne’s heart, suffering from acne herself throughout her high school years she knows first hand what this can do to a individuals self-esteem. She has completed and received certifications in PCA Advaced Skin Care, Obagi Nu Derm, and MAC Bridal Makeup Application.Daphne also believes in giving back to her community. She supports non-profit organizations such as Fresh Start Surgical Gifts, Casa De Milagro House of Miracles, Casa De Amparo and Families of American Military.
Chelsie Dillard
Skin & Laser Center Aesthetician
Licensed Aesthetician Chelsie Dillard offers patients a wide range of specialized treatments designed to target their individual skin care goals. Since obtaining her certification from the California Board of Cosmetology she has worked with Dr. Steven Cohen, voted top plastic surgeon in San Diego and one of the nation’s leaders in plastic surgery. As a licensed esthetician in the medical field, Chelsie continually strives to advance her knowledge and techniques for her clients benefit. Having battled and overcome her own skin issues, including acne, Chelsie has now devoted herself to addressing skin wellness for others, making radiant skin a reality for all.
Lynn Bain Dyer
Skin & Laser Center Aesthetician
Lynn attended Poway Academy and received her Aesthetician license in 1997. Throughout her career she has worked closely with multiple Dermatologists as well as Cosmetic Surgeons. She has worked with Dr. Steven Cohen since 2005. Her emphasis is on the treatment of acne and anit-aging with the use of chemical peels, LED and oxygen. Lynn is also highly trained in the treatment of ALA/Photodynamic Thereapy and is one of the first Aesteticians to work with the famous Obagi TCA Blue Peel. She is also well versed in cosmetic fillers and lasers and works closely with nurses Cory, Jen and Danielle to help patients achieve their goal of fabulous skin. Lynn also trains and mentors Aestheticians in various other medical offices throughout San Diego. Her continued education and passion for helping people achieve beautiful skin has made her not only an expert but a sought after leader in the industry.
Kelly Horton
Skin & Laser Center Aesthetician
Kelly Horton is a licensed aesthetician certified by the California Board of Cosmetology. Kelly uses non-surgical techniques to help clients achieve healthy skin at Clarity Acne Center. She specializes in correcting common skin conditions associated with acne and pigment disorders. Kelly works with one of the nation’s leaders in Plastic Surgery, Dr. Steven R. Cohen. She focuses on the correction, and maintenance of all stages of acne affecting teens, pregnant women, and women who are pre/post menapausal. She completed and recieved training in PCA Advanced Skin Care, Obagi Nu Derm, Mesoestetics Cosmelan Depigmentation Peel, Biomedic Peels, Revitalights-Light Therapy, Myotonology, H2T Retinol/TCA Peels, Intraceuticals O2 Therapy, Dusa Pharmacueticals Blu-U® light Threrapy and Levulan® Photodynamic Therapy. She has also coordinated clinical research trials at FACESplus La Jolla.

A healing touch blended with sophisticated techniques characterize Melissa's approach to health and balance. Melissa's journey into the art and science of healing began in 1997 at the International Professional School of Bodywork (IPSB), an accredited college in San Diego, California. Her unique approach to skincare extends from her nine years of specializing in post operative massage. She skillfully applies a precise delicate touch to detail every aspect of the face, creating a perfectly tailored experience.
Melissa continuously pursues advances in technology, products, and procedures. Currently Melissa teaches a specialty class at IPSB which encompasses advanced massage techniques, including manual lymphatic drainage for the face. She has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree, and is a certified yoga and pilates instructor. Melissa is dedicated to the art of personal transformation.
